Green aldehyde-free vegetable protein adhesive helps wood-based panels to resume production and upgrade technology.
Green aldehyde-free vegetable protein adhesive helps wood-based panel to resume production and upgrade its technology. Recently, the topic “Production and application technology of aldehyde-free vegetable protein adhesive” hosted by Professor Li Jianzhang of Beijing Forestry University has been put into the key special project of “Science and Technology Helping Economy 2020″ of the Ministry of Science and Technology to help wood-based panel enterprises resume production and upgrade their technology. It is understood that the wood adhesive team of Beijing Forestry University has been carrying out systematic innovation research and application promotion in green wood-based panel adhesives, especially plant protein formaldehyde-free wood adhesives for more than ten years. The team innovated the technical methods of bionic cross-linking and toughening of protein adhesive, pre-gelling and tackifying, and developed the preparation and application technology of high water-resistant and durable vegetable protein adhesive and the rapid prepressing molding technology of slab, which solved the problems of poor prepressing technology, low production efficiency and limited production in northern winter, as well as the important problems of poor post-processing performance of wood-based panels caused by hard and brittle cured products of vegetable protein adhesive, and promoted the industrial application of vegetable protein adhesive.
